Video Game Store Opens in Glenside
By Heather Mick ’11

Classic Game Junkie is a quirky new video game store that recently opened for business in Glenside, Pa. With its bright orange sign and Pac-Man figurines lining the windows, the storefront is hard to miss.

Located less than one mile away from campus, Classic Game Junkie has a wide selection of classic games for sale, including those for the Atari and Nintendo 64. If more modern games are what you’re looking for, the store also carries games for the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

In addition, Classic Game Junkie offers specialty services such as one-hour console repairs for XBOX 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and DS, and Sony PSP. iPod and iPhone issues including cracked screens, unresponsive touch, and damaged shells just to name a few also are fixed on site. Most of the services provided are offered at a flat rate and come with a complimentary six-month warranty.

Classic Game Junkie is located at 111 S. Easton Road—just a short walk from campus—and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both street and lot parking are available. The SEPTA 77 bus stops right outside of the store for added travel options. Additional information about the store can be found on its website www.classicgamejunkie.com and on Facebook.
