Sports Psychologist Dr. Jarrod Spencer to Speak at Arcadia, Sept. 21

The Arcadia University Athletic Department is proud to welcome Dr. Jarrod Spencer on Friday, Sept. 21, at 8:30 p.m. in the Commons Great Room. He will be speaking to more than 300 Arcadia athletes, coaches, staff and administrators.

Spencer is a renowned sports psychologist with credentials from the NCAA and national and local psychological associations and organizations. A resident of Easton, Pa., he is well recognized in the Mid-Atlantic region and is a licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland. A former college athlete at Lafayette College, Spencer is known for his ability to connect with his audience by offering insight about the mental side of the game.

In addition to his many degrees and certifications, Spencer has teaching and speaking experience that make him a leader in his field. He gives more than 100 speeches annually, has appeared on ESPN Radio, and created his own television show, Mind of the Athlete. In addition, he has worked with athletes at various levels of experience and is the sports psychologist for several college programs, including Lehigh University, Lafayette College and the University of Maryland.

The session on Friday will kick off a year-long program for Arcadia’s athletes. The program is one that Arcadia plans on offering to current and future student-athletes.  This is an excellent opportunity for the Athletic Department to display how much Arcadia University cares about their current and future student-athletes.  Spencer’s website, www.mindoftheathlete.com, offers an extensive biography and information on his programs.
