Horsham Patch reported on Nov. 19 that Arcadia University’s School of Continuing Studies will offer a three-hour workshop on marketing strategies for business owners at the Hatboro Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. The workshop is the product of the long-awaited collaboration between the University and the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce.
Hatboro Main Street Manager Stephen Barth, one of the frontrunners in the Arcadia/Hatboro affiliation, said it will “hopefully be the first of many programs and classes to be offered.”
From the outset, Arcadia representatives had said they were conducting research and polling the local business community to determine the best fit in terms of programs, courses and workshops for non-traditional students.
Arcadia University Spokesman Ed Neenan said next month’s workshop is “an agreed upon offering between both parties” and said, “our relationship and any future offerings will be assessed” since the school’s agreement extends only through the end of December.
Barth, calling the workshop a “milestone” for Hatboro, said the first university educational business program for the borough is sure to spur even more offerings.
