The Arcadia community is invited to Stay Young, an artist lecture by Bill Goodwin ’88, on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 4:30 p.m. in the University Gallery Room in Landman Library. Goodwin’s lecture is part of the Alumni Artist Lecture Series, established last year to bring alumni back to campus to share their stories of success in the world of art and design.
“The ultimate design project is your own life,” says Goodwin, founder of Goodwin Design Group, adding that “I truly feel successful and grateful for how mine has turned out.” Goodwin is widely recognized as a thought leader, author, and speaker in the areas of strategic design, marketing, and many related client industries. CBS Sunday Morning recently featured Goodwin Design’s “Bazooka” redesigns. Over the years, Goodwin has been a distinguished speaker at a number of design conferences, industry events, and client summits. In his own words words, “a pursuit of a higher purpose in everything Goodwin Design does is essential to our success. We believe that the brands that will matter most in the future will stand for products that are good for people and the planet.”
A reception for the 6x6x6 CUBE Exhibition of Seniors will follow in the Judith Taylor Gallery.
About Bill Goodwin
For decades Bill Goodwin has refused to grow up.
As a result, Bill and his group have become a leading authority on brand strategy, innovation and design—particularly for kids & family focused products and services.
In recent years, Goodwin has applied their understanding that our most critical challenges require kids’ involvement to create large scale, concrete change. Time and optimism are on their side in such efforts.
Goodwin’s clients are domestic and global leaders—and others who aim to be—including Campbell’s Soup Company, Carolina Health System, Colgate-Palmolive, Crayola, Dial, Disney, Elmer’s, Franklin, General Mills, Gerber, Hasbro, Hooked on Phonics, Johnson & Johnson, Ian’s Natural Foods, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Kimberly-Clark, NUK USA, Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition & Activity, Sara Lee Corp, SC Johnson and Unilever, among many others.
Goodwin’s approach is as much a product of Bill’s experience as they are a part of his group’s mission. Do great work with great people. Have fun. Deliver results. Profit fairly. —And stay young.
