
Tom Franklin, author of ‘Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter.’
Arcadia University’s Visiting Writers Series welcomes author Tom Franklin on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Rose Room, Grey Towers Castle. Franklin’s lecture, “The Crooked, Circuitous Route to a Novel,” deals with writing his award-winning novel Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. The lecture is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m. with the lecture starting at 7:30 p.m. His book will be available for purchase and to be signed by him after the lecture.
Franklin’s previous works include the Edgar nominated Poachers: Stories, as well as Hell at the Breech, and Smonk. Winner of a 2001 Guggenheim Fellowship, he teaches in the University of Mississippi’s M.F.A. program and lives in Oxford, Miss., with his wife, poet Beth Ann Fennelly, and their children.
