The Arcadia University Healthcare Administration Student Society (AUHASS) will welcome guest speaker John Kastanis, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Temple University Hospital, on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 4 p.m. in 102 Brubaker Hall. All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend.
One of the most prominent healthcare administrators in the United States, Kastanis works closely with Temple University Health System, Temple University Hospital, and medical staff leadership to ensure quality care, invest in medical services and technologies, and continue the recruitment of physicians.
Kastanis is the former President and CEO of the Hospital for Joint Diseases, an affiliate of New York University Medical Center in New York, NY. An experienced hospital administrator, he has held senior leadership positions in academic medical centers, multi-hospital systems, and inner-city and community teaching hospitals. Kastanis has also worked as consultant to hospital boards, investment banking, and management firms.
A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Kastanis earned a B.A. from Queens College in Flushing, N.Y., and an M.B.A. from the Baruch College and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s health administration program.
Under the direction of Robert Kieserman, Program Coordinator of the Health Administration program, the AUHASS welcomes health administration majors to be involved in healthcare-related events, community service, and educational opportunities.
