Members of the local community are invited to join the dialog to shape Arcadia University’s strategic direction in several meetings to be hosted on campus on March 18 and 19. At the request of the Arcadia Strategic Planning Committee, the focus groups will address the University’s role in the community and consider important issues such as what community members envision Arcadia to become, what strategies are needed to accomplish that vision, and what resources are required to implement such strategies.
“As part of the strategic planning process, we have been discussing the strategic future of the University and its relationship with and presence in the community,” say Committee Co-chairs Dr. Steve O. Michael, Provost, and Dr. Theresa Rollins, Trustee. “Arcadia strives to be more than a good neighbor, but a good partner in the health, safety, welfare and economic vitality of our area.”
Community discussions will be hed in the Grey Towers Castle Mirror Room at the following times:
- Monday, March 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 19, 7 to 8:30 a.m.
- Tuesday, March 19, noon to 1:30 p.m.
The number of participants in each session will be limited by pre-registration to ensure that everyone involved has an opportunity to contribute to the conversation. Please register online.
As the Strategic Planning process continues across the University, the Committee is dedicated to keeping with an approach that is responsive, inclusive and transparent. If you are interested in participating in a focus group, but the available sections are filled, please email Dr. John Hoffman, Project Manager for the Planning Process, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Subsequent focus or consultation groups may be formed if and when necessary.
