Tanasi Receives College of Global Studies Award for Teaching Excellence

Dr. Davide Tanasi, Adjunct Professor of Classical Studies at Arcadia University’s Mediterranean Center for Arts and Sciences is being presented with The College of Global Studies’ first Award for Teaching Excellence. The Award for Teaching Excellence celebrates outstanding teaching and scholarly achievements of faculty in The College of Global Studies. The award is given annually in recognition of the faculty member who makes outstanding contributions to the education of students in The College of Global Studies. Criteria for the award included accumulating an impressive record of effective teaching, documented through various methods such as peer and student reviews, and demonstrating innovative and creative approaches to teaching and learning in education abroad.

The Award for Teaching Excellence is sponsored and given by The College of Global Studies, Arcadia University. Dr. Tanasi will receive a plaque commemorating the award, a monetary award of $1000, recognition during the Arcadia University Honors Convocation on April 6, 2013, and a week-long stay as Visiting Scholar in The College of Global Studies, Glenside, Pa.
