Appelbaum Delivers Presidential Address at AAACS Conference

Dr. Peter Appelbaum

Dr. Peter Appelbaum, Professor of Education, brought his three-year term as President of the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies to a close with an opening keynote, “Crossing Boundaries, Being Nowhere in Place, and Postcolonial Posthuman Curriculum,” to begin the conference theme, “Counter-Western Curriculum Theory: Displacement, Transference, or Action?” He also presented on Post-Human “Knowing” and “Derrida’s Efforts with GREPH as a Model for Collaboration in Rearticulating the Field,” as part of a conference session on “Drafting a Post-Human Manifesto of Curriculum Studies.”
