Arcadia University and The Rendell Center for Citizenship and Civics have two events planned for students and the Arcadia University community on Constitution Day, Tuesday, Sept. 17.
- Exhibit Fair at the Chat: Meet with representatives from the League of Women Voters, For The Women, College Republicans, College Democrats, and Arcadia’s Community Service Office. Discover how to become more involved and engaged. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Free Bus Trip to the National Constitution Center: Head to the National Constitution Center on Independence Mall in downtown Philadelphia for Constitution Day activities including an engaging discussion on “Drones and Your Privacy” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the F.M. Kirby Auditorium. The discussion will focus on topics relating to constitutional rights in a time of changing technology and striking a balance between personal privacy and public safety.
Free bus transportation to and from the National Constitution Center (NCC) will be provided. The bus will leave campus for the NCC at 1 p.m. and will depart the NCC at 4 p.m. with a return to Arcadia by 5 p.m. Interested students should contact Beth Specker (email@example.com) to reserve a seat. The events are sponsored by The Rendell Center for Citizenship and Civics at Arcadia University.
