Chance Presents on Intersections Between Cultures of Thinking and Quaker Pedagogy

Janet Chance, director of the Office of School and Community Collaborations, designed and led Abington Friends School’s professional development day for PK-12 faculty on Oct. 11. Chance spoke about the intersections between Quaker pedagogy and Project Zero research, drawing upon ideas from Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Cultures of Thinking project. Chance also designed several interactive sessions, so that AFS faculty and administrators could experience “thinking routines” together, while working in small groups led by experienced facilitators.
