Genetic Counseling Alumni Present at NSGC Conference

Divya Shah ’13M and Vivien Narcissa ’13M, both of whom graduated from the Arcadia with a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling degree, presented their thesis projects at the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) Annual Educational Conference. Shah presented “Professional Issues for International Genetic Counselors,” while Narcissa contributed her poster “Identifying the social, emotional and practical needs of teenagers with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.” The projects were co-authored by Kathleen Valverde, associate professor and director of the genetic counseling program.
