Alumni-owned Conshohocken Physical Therapy Begins High-Tech Expansion

Conshohocken Physical Therapy (CPT), co-owned by Robert Caucci ’99 and his wife Desirea Simpson Caucci ’99, ’02DPT, recently broke ground on an expansion project that will allow them to incorporate use of the latest healthcare technology and better serve their patients and community, according to Kelly Caucci, CPT’s director of operations.

Construction began in mid-November and is expected to be complete by early 2014.

The upgraded facility will feature Dartfish video analysis equipment, which will enhance patient understandingand participation during treatment and recovery, and an anti-gravity treadmill.

“The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill represents the next stride in physical therapy and medically-based training,” said Kelly Caucci. “It utilizes cutting edge Differential Air Pressure (DAP) Technology, developed by NASA, to unweight the user and reduce the impact of walking or running,” she explained.

These enhancements will be added to the practice’s already cutting edge offerings, which include aquatic therapy in a state-of-the-art Endless Pool and individualized manual therapy techniques administered by highly accomplished staff, including Arcadia alumni Nicole Puzio ’07DPT and Chris Wickel ’11DPT.

Both Desirea and CPT have been recognized locally and nationally for being among the top practitioners and practices in the field of physical therapy.
